15-year-old girl who underwent robotic surgery in PG asks for financial help

Maria, just 15, underwent robotic heart surgery on Ponta Grossa and now needs the solidarity of the population. The teenager was submitted to the procedure at the Santa Casa of Mercy and her family seeks to raise R$ 15,000 to remove part of the costs of the surgery, which were not fully covered by the health plan.

According to information passed on to the BnT Online report, Maria is in recovery and, on the morning of Thursday (22), was in the process of removing the intubation after the surgical intervention.

Despite the advancement in treatment, the family faces financial difficulties and has started a solidarity campaign to be able to pay the remaining amount.

Health plan did not fully cover surgery

According to family members, the health plan did not offer full coverage for the robotic procedure performed on the adolescent.

Part of the costs were made possible by the available coverage, in addition to the support obtained by the doctor responsible for Santa Casa de Ponta Grossa.

Even with these efforts, an amount of R$ 15,000 remained, which needs to be collected by the family.

To get the money, family and friends organized a solidarity raffle and ask for the collaboration of the community.
