2nd Conecta Construção Forum brings professionals and students to Ponta Grossa

The Conecta Construction Forum in Ponta Grossa arrives for the second edition on Thursday (1st), bringing together professionals, entrepreneurs, students, experts and institutions to discuss the transformations of construction. The event will be held from 4 pm to 8.30 pm, in the Association of Engineers and Architects of Ponta Grossa (AEAPG), in the Center, with free participation and early registration.

With the theme “Future in Construction: How We’re Going to Live, Build and Work”, the program aims to put into debate changes that are already beginning to change from the construction sites to the way real estate and cities are planned.

Among the subjects are lack of manpower, professional training, industrialization of construction, automation, robotization, off-site construction and use of new technologies.

Lack of workforce enters the debate

The program will be organized in three major moments.

The first block will focus on the future of construction and the shortage of labor. The discussion should address ways to increase the attractiveness of the sector and prepare professionals for the new needs of companies.

The issue gained importance as construction began to demand not only operational manpower, but also professionals prepared to work with new construction systems, equipment and more industrialized processes.

According to the official presentation of the event, the proposal is to approach different members of the production chain to discuss challenges and opportunities that already interfere with the activity.

Industrialization, automation and off-site construction

The second block will be dedicated to industrialization and new technologies.

The programming includes cases and discussions on off-site construction — a model in which parts of a building can be produced off-site and subsequently taken to assembly — as well as industrialized systems, automation and robotization.

These solutions enter the debate mainly because of their relationship with productivity, process standardization, efficiency and changes in the traditional way of executing works.

Sinduscon-PR also highlights these issues among the main axes of this second edition of the Forum.

Senai Paraná participates in the programming

Among the confirmed participations is Karine Coelho, a leading research, development and innovation consultant at the Senai Institute of Technology in Civil Construction.

According to Senai Paraná, Karine has experience in management, innovation, improvement of production processes and Lean Construction, as well as acting in projects aimed at modernization and efficiency of civil construction.

She is a specialist in Integrated Management and Innovation in Civil Construction and has Black Belt certification, with activities related to management systems, certifications, audits and process improvement.

The participation of Senai seeks to bring the technical knowledge and solutions developed for the industry closer to the problems faced by companies on a daily basis.

How will we live in the future?

The Forum will also look beyond the methods used to build. The lecture “How we will live in the future” will address changes in the behavior of new generations, trends in housing, mobility, technology and smart cities.

The idea is to discuss how social transformations can influence the real estate and urban spaces that will be demanded in the coming years.

Programming, therefore, connects two questions: how the construction will be done and what types of spaces society will demand.

Event reaches second year in Ponta Grossa

The Conecta Construção Forum is an initiative of the Civil Construction Governance of Ponta Grossa, formed by representatives of public, private and third sector institutions and aimed at articulating actions for the development of the production chain.

The first edition was held in 2025 and also brought together companies, professionals, experts, students and institutions to discuss innovation, productivity, management, sustainability and challenges of construction. In 2026, the meeting returns with greater concentration on technological changes, industrialization and the future prospects of the sector.

For Letícia da Costa Gonçalves, coordinator of Research, Development and Innovation of the Senai Institute of Technology in Civil Construction, maintaining the Forum for the second year helps to create in the city a space of its own to discuss the challenges of the sector.

According to her, the initiative brings together different members of the Ponta Grossa innovation ecosystem to address issues directly related to the moment of construction.

Participation in the Conecta Construção Forum on Ponta Grossa is free. The announcement of the meeting, however, warns that the vacancies are limited.
