95.4 km/h: 10 educational institutions suffered damages after strong winds in Telêmaco Borba
Situation was recorded on Tuesday night (21). Despite the damages, the institutions kept operating.
The rains and the strong wind that reached 95.4 km/h, in Telêmaco Borba, on Monday night (21), caused damage in 10 institutions of Municipal Education. According to a survey by the Municipal Secretariat of Education, six schools and four CMEIs were reached.
The main damages identified were: fall of trees and branches on or near the units; damage to the wall; damage to the roofs of rooms, hallways, stairs, kitchens and courtyards; damage and clogging of gutters and gutters; water infiltration in classrooms; need for tile replacement and also partial reconstruction and total change of some roofing.
Even with the damage, the institutions have maintained their functioning. In some the services have already been completed and others the teams of the City Hall are carrying out the interventions, according to the priority of the demands.
In the city
According to the Defesa Civil and Fire Department, 42 attendances were carried out. Among the incidents were the fall of eight trees that obstructed public roads, 21 flashes, as well as the tower that housed the city’s radio antennas fell. The lack of energy was also recorded.
Five public buildings have also suffered from flashing: Unit of Pronto Atendimento (UPA), CRAS Monte Alegre, Center of Convivence of the Elderly, Terminal Rodoviário and the Center of Convivence of Adolescence and Youth.
