A 38-week-old pregnant woman went to a police station and voluntarily presented herself to the Municipal Civil Guard (GCM) on the afternoon of Tuesday (6) at Ponta Grossa. According to the report card, she reported that she had an open arrest warrant and wanted to surrender herself for the fulfillment of the court order.

The case was reported at 2:45 p.m. in the New Russia region. The equipe GAT Echo was finalizing the attendance of another occurrence at the police station when it was sought by the woman.

According to the agents' report, she pointed to the 38 weeks gestation as a reason for the decision to present herself. The record, however, does not detail why the pregnancy led her to seek out the team at that time.

The guard confirmed an arrest warrant.

After receiving the information, the guards consulted the name of the woman in the system. The verification confirmed the existence of an arrest warrant pending enforcement. Before the confirmation, the team registered the occurrence report and led the pregnant woman to the Public Jail Hildebrando de Souza, in Ponta Grossa, for the fulfillment of the judicial determination.

The description provided by the Guard does not tell which crime motivated the arrest warrant. It also does not clarify whether the warrant was related to a conviction or other form of imprisonment.

Woman sought out agents on her own initiative

What attracts attention in the occurrence is the spontaneous presentation. According to the report, the woman was not located during a search or approach: she herself sought the guards, informed the existence of the court order and expressed the desire to surrender.

Information about the 38 weeks of pregnancy was also reported by her and recorded by the team. The document provided does not mention symptoms, medical evaluation or hospital care during the occurrence.

Referral to Prison Unit

The care described in the bulletin ended with the woman being taken to prison. No information was provided on the procedures adopted after their arrival, any health follow-up or post-submission court decisions.

Thus, the available data confirm the voluntary delivery, the consultation that identified the open warrant and the referral carried out by the Municipal Civil Guard.
