Entity, which turned 69 years old on January 29, 2026, with a tribute from the Federal Senate, is preparing a special program for Festuris, in Gramado

The Brazilian Association of Tourism Journalists (Abrajet) lives, in 2026, moments of visibility. Founded in 1957, in Rio de Janeiro, the entity that brings together journalists specialized in tourism was honored in August by the Federal Senate, in a Special Session held in the plenary of the House in commemoration of the 69th anniversary of its foundation.
During the session requested by Senator Eduardo Gomes (PL-TO), the president of Abrajet Nacional, Luiz Pires, announced the launch of the commemorative stamp of the 70th anniversary of the entity, which will be celebrated in 2027, as well as initiatives aimed at the enhancement of the press specialized in tourism and the strengthening of sectoral communication.
The 2026 agenda of Abrajet Nacional also reserves a moment considered strategic for the entity through the participation with its own stand in Festuris – International Fair of Tourism of Gramado, which will be held from 12 to 15 November, in Gramado, at serra gaúcha.
Abrajet shares on Festuris
In the press room of the tourism and business fair, will be held another edition of the project “The New Route of Tourism Journalism”, an initiative of Abrajet aimed at training regional journalists for the use of artificial intelligence tools, search optimization and new digital communication strategies, with journalist Vânia Monteiro, columnist of more than 100 news portals in different regions of the country, mentor of press and lecturer.
The program at the stand will bring together activities aimed at the dissemination and promotion of tourist attractions and national and international destinations, in addition to the event Abrajet Receives Journalists and Guests that will be a moment of meeting and celebration of the return of Abrajet’s participation with a stand at Festuris and in tribute to the journalist Wilson Sierra, associate of the Rio Grande do Sul section and founder of the Jornal Sierramar, who died in June 20.
Strengthening of Abrajet
For the president of Abrajet Nacional, the presence at Festuris represents the consolidation of a strategy that has been developed throughout the current management.
“Our stand at Festuris 2026 is the culmination of a management that takes precedence over the strengthening of the sections and committees, through the qualification, the creation of the Abrajet News Distributor, decentralization and the high-level relationship with trade and public power, at the national level and in the states where the entity has representation,” says Luiz Pires.
The president also highlights the action of the gaucho section in making possible the participation of the entity in the event. “At this moment, we only have to thank Abrajet Rio Grande do Sul, which has made possible, in every sense, the participation of the Abrajet Nacional stand at Festuris, with high-level programming and receptiveness,” he adds.
For the president of the Gaucho section, the communicator Fábio Juchen, responsible for the coordination of the booth and the curatorship of the programming, "the participation in Festuris will be an important milestone in our trajectory within Abrajet. We are in the final phase of the booth programming, which we will soon disseminate in all our digital environments and also in the traditional press”, says Juchen. According to him, the presence at the event is in line with the proposal of the new management of Abrajet/RS to expand the participation of the entity in the different areas related to tourism. “We are working to expand the entity’s participation in the most different tourist spaces, with the aim of strengthening our communication, articulation and delivery capacity,” he emphasizes.
Eduardo Zorzanello, CEO Festuris - International Tourism Fair of Gramado, states that “the partnership between Festuris and Abrajet is very important to strengthen communication and expand the reach of our event. This year, we are pleased to once again count on Abrajet, which will be present with a physical space and with journalists from different Brazilian states. They are professionals who follow tourism closely and who, throughout the year, help bring Festuris to their regions, publicizing our programming, our destinations and the opportunities that the event generates for the sector.”
The ABRAJET Nacional booth will be located in Rua M in the second pavilion of the Serra Park Event Center and open on November 13 and 14 to receive the visit of journalists and participants. The Casa Ottone Winery is one of ABRAJET's partners at Festuris.
