ACGF beats Cianorte and advances to Paranaense semifinal
ACGF defeats Cianorte in Ponta Grossa and takes the lead in the Bronze Series quarters. Find out who scored and when the return match will be.
ACGF wins Cianorte 5 to 1 on Saturday night (17), at the Oscar Pereira Gymnasium, in Ponta Grossa, for the first leg of the quarter-finals of the Paranaense Futsal Championship Série Bronze. With two goals from Nito and another three scored by Mortadela, Matheus Santos and Brendo, the team from Ponta Grossa opened up the lead and needed only one draw in the return match to secure a spot in the semifinals.
Playing in front of the crowd, ACGF/Generial, known as Lobo-Guará, won an important result in the eliminatory phase of the state competition. The confrontation marked the beginning of the dispute for one of the spots among the four best teams of Série Bronze.
The victory leaves the Ponta Grossa team in a favourable position for the second match, which will be held in Cianorte, in the northwest of Paraná.
Nito scores twice in ACGF victory
The highlight of the Punta Grossense team was Nito, responsible for two of the five goals scored by ACGF in the match.
Mortadela, Matheus Santos and Brendo also swing the nets, completing the scoreboard favorable to the owners of the house.
The result was celebrated by the team, which highlighted the support of the fans present at the Oscar Pereira Gymnasium during the quarter-finals first leg.
The offensive performance allowed Lobo-Guará to close the first engagement of the confrontation with an important advantage in the quest for classification.
ACGF needs a draw to advance to the semi-finals
After winning the Cianorte, ACGF/Gerencial will have the opportunity to confirm the classification next Saturday, October 24.
The return game is scheduled for 7:30 pm, at the Tancredo Neves Gymnasium, in Cianorte, according to the table published by the Paranaense Federation of Hall Football.
With the advantage won in Ponta Grossa, Lobo-Guara needs a draw to advance to the semi-finals of the Paranaense Futsal Championship Série Bronze.
If Cianorte wins the second match, the definition of the vacancy will depend on the criteria provided for in the rules of the elimination phase.
Team of Ponta Grossa continues in the dispute for access
ACGF reached the quarter-finals after eliminating Ubiratan in the octaves. In the decisive match, also played at the Oscar Pereira Gymnasium, the Ponta-Grossense team won 4-2 in normal time and confirmed the classification in penalties collections, by 4-3.
Now, the goal is to overcome one more eliminatory stage and ensure presence among the semifinalists of the state competition.
The victory against Cianorte represents another positive result of the team in the decisive straight of the Série Bronze, keeping the futsal of Ponta Grossa in the dispute for a spot in the next phase.
The attention of the ACGF / Generial turns to the confrontation next Saturday, when the team will have the mission to confirm, outside the home, the advantage built in front of the fan base.
