ACGF Ponta Grossa launches shirt in tribute to 1990s futsal

The ACGF Ponta Grossa presented this Wednesday (7) a new shirt inspired by the tip-thick football of the 1990s. Named “Back to the 90s”, the model will be used in the final straight of the 2026 season and pays tribute to athletes, technicians and teams that marked one of the most important decades of the sport in the municipality.

In the blue color, the uniform brings elements that refer to the graphic pattern used by the sports teams of Ponta Grossa in the 1990s, including references in the writing of the name of the city and also in the numbering of the shirts.

The tribute also rescues important achievements of the point-grossense futsal in the period, such as gold medals in the Open Games of the Paraná and the unprecedented classification of a team of the city for the finals of the Paranaense Championship Série Ouro.

Tribute to a historic generation

Former goalkeeper of different teams in the city and currently technical coordinator of ACGF Ponta Grossa, Gegê Machado highlighted the importance of preserving the memory of those who contributed to the growth of the local futsal.

"It is a more than fair tribute to the players, coaches and clubs that have been very important to the history of Ponta Grossa futsal. The 90s were a very victorious period for our sport and those who were present in this period deserve the recognition not only of the ACGF, but of all who live the sport in our city,” he said.

This is not the first time the club has used their uniforms to recall important chapters of the sport. In 2024, the “wolf-guará” launched a shirt inspired by the uniform worn by the Ponta Grossa Team in 1983, when the municipality first won the title of the Paraná Open Games in men’s futsal.

Shirt is already on sale

The new uniform is available for R$ 119,90, on order. The purchase can be made at the Atacadão da Paz store, located at Rua Nicolau Kluppel Neto, 955, or on the Meinerz Esportes website.

If there is no conflict of colors, the new shirt should appear for the first time on the edge of the court on Saturday (10), when the technical committee of ACGF Ponta Grossa / Grupo Gerencial faces Ubiratã Futsal.

The match is scheduled for 8 pm, at the Oscar Pereira Gymnasium, in Ponta Grossa, and is for the back-to-back confrontation of the final octaves of the Paranaense Futsal Championship Série Bronze.

The duel also takes place in a decisive week for the Punta Grossense team, which seeks to advance to the quarter-finals of the state competition.
