Individual micro-entrepreneurs of Ponta Grossa can count on a support structure to face difficulties in managing the business, seek training and expand opportunities. The Commercial, Industrial and Business Association of Ponta Grossa (ACIPG) offers an exclusive membership modality for MEIs worth R$ 19.90 per month.

The subject was presented during an interview with BnT News by Leandro Vinícius, director of service to individual microentrepreneurs and small companies at ACIPG. According to him, one of the proposals of the entity is precisely to show the small entrepreneur that he does not have to face alone the challenges of maintaining a company.

“Today the Trade Association wants to help the entrepreneur just to not be alone. The MEI can count on the Commercial Association,” stressed Leandro.

Sala Siga identifies MEI needs

One of the main gateways for service is the Sala Siga, a structure that works within ACIPG and has a partnership with Sebrae.

According to Leandro, the entrepreneur is received for an initial diagnosis. From the identified difficulties, it can be referred to services, guidance or professionals capable of assisting in each situation.

"We will make a diagnosis and understand what his pain is and direct him within the Trade Association," he explained.

Among the demands are issues that are part of the routine of many microentrepreneurs, such as issuance of tax notes, regularization of the CNPJ and late contributions.

“Sometimes the person constitutes the CNPJ, will sell and needs a tax bill and does not know how to do it. Or you have failed to pay the monthly contribution of the MEI and need to make a installment. We are there to help, to help and to guide.”

Public procurement can also be an opportunity

Another way presented by ACIPG are the sectoral chambers and committees, which bring together entrepreneurs from similar segments to exchange knowledge and discuss solutions.

One example is the Public Procurement Committee, which can guide entrepreneurs interested in selling products or providing services to public bodies.

“You will have a direction of how to participate in a bidding, a pleading and how to make your company available to sell to the public power,” Leandro said.

According to him, the rapprochement between entrepreneurs who are often seen as competitors can also benefit the entire sector.

Leandro cited as an example the Chamber of Accountants, in which he participates. Issues such as changes in legislation and the reforma tributária are collectively debated among members.

“We are among competitors, between quotation marks, but we are building a solution for that segment,” he said.

Courses and training for those who want to grow

The associated MEI can also participate in courses, lectures, meetings and activities promoted by the entity.

In addition to ACIPG’s own programming, the Sebrae service point installed in the entity expands the possibilities of orientation and training.

According to Leandro, the proposal is to work in different areas of the business, going beyond tax or bureaucratic issues.

“We try to encompass the business as a whole. Not just focusing on one subject, but getting the entrepreneur a broad view of his business.”

Membership for MEI costs R$ 19.90

To increase the presence of microentrepreneurs within the entity, ACIPG created a specific modality of association with a monthly fee of R$ 19.90.

Leandro explains that the differentiated value takes into account precisely the reality of who is beginning.

“The MEI is a gateway to entrepreneurship. Just as the MEI pays a fixed rate and a differentiated tax, we also think of proposing a differentiated value for them,” he explained.

The association’s expectation is to follow the growth of the business over the next few years.

“We believe that today’s MEI can become a bigger company tomorrow,” he said.

At the end of the interview with BnT News, Leandro left a direct invitation to the entrepreneurs of Ponta Grossa.

“Go to the Trade Association, talk to the staff, know the structure. It is a very affordable price and I am sure that the Commercial Association will contribute to your business and take your business to another level.”
