Adolescent stabbed and suspect located by GCM in Ponta Grossa

A 16-year-old boy was injured after being stabbed with a knife in the Vila Nova region on Friday afternoon in Ponta Grossa. The attack took place at Rua Igino Ribeiro da Cruz, in Vila Nova 2. The suspect, also 16 years old, was subsequently located by the Municipal Civil Guard (GCM) in a residence.

According to preliminary information, the victim was playing ball when she was caught by another teenager armed with a knife. The suspect reportedly approached, struck a blow that hit the victim’s hand and ran away shortly after the assault.

Teams from the Integrated Emergency Trauma Service (SIATE), of the Fire Department, were activated to provide care. The injured adolescent was rescued and referred to UPA Santana for medical evaluation.

Suspect was found inside residence

After the incident, teams of the Municipal Civil Guard began diligence to identify and locate the possible responsible for the aggression.

Based on the information gathered, the agents arrived at a residence in Rua Anhambi Azul, where they located a 16-year-old teenager identified as the author of the stab.

According to information obtained at the scene, the suspect was inside the property and pretended to be sleeping at the time he was located by the municipal guards.

The adolescent’s location occurred after the victim provided information about the identity of the possible aggressor.

So far, the motive for the attack has not been clarified. There is also no confirmation of the suspect’s eventual seizure or referral to police authority.

The case should be investigated by the competent authorities to clarify the circumstances of the aggression.
