After 29 years, Ponta Grossa Procon gains new headquarters in the Center

The new Procon headquarters of Ponta Grossa was inaugurated on the afternoon of Wednesday (30), in a ceremony held at 2 p.m. The new space concentrates on the attention to consumers and also houses the administrative structure of the Defesa Civil of the municipality.

Located in the central region of the city, near the Bus Station, the building has accessibility, individualized service bays and an expanded structure for Procon professionals. The change also marks the implementation of a more digitized system to streamline processes related to consumer demands.

During the inauguration, prefeita Elizabeth Schmidt said that the delivery represents a historic moment for the service, which she said has gone through different addresses over the past few decades.

“This is a historic step we are taking today. Because the Procon for 29 years is thrown from one corner to the other, there and there, where there is a little corner left. And now we are here in this space, with accessibility, in the heart of the city, to be able to meet all the people who need it,” he said.

Procon Digital must speed up attendances

Among the main novelties of the new structure is the so-called Procon Digital, which seeks to replace physical paper processes with digitized procedures.

According to the municipal secretary of Citizenship and Public Security, Guilherme Rangel, the change should allow greater agility in the analysis and resolution of the demands presented by the population.

“Our goal is always to resolve these issues as quickly and effectively as possible. We can see in the building several service bays, a renovated legal body and also the Procon Digital. It will no longer be that physical process of old, all digitized,” he explained.

For Rangel, the new headquarters also demonstrates an appreciation of consumer service and consumer relations in the municipality.

Defesa Civil also gains new space

The property also receives the administrative part of Defesa Civil de Ponta Grossa. The site will be used for public service and administrative and preventive activities of the body.

Materials and equipment used in the occurrences, such as tarps, tiles and other larger items, will continue to be stored in the Defesa Civil operational shed.

The mayor emphasized that the population can seek care at the new address whenever they need guidance or services related to the body.

“When people need it, they can come, the doors will be open,” Elizabeth said.

Guilherme Rangel also highlighted the growing importance of Defesa Civil in the face of climate events recorded in recent years.

“We have seen more and more natural disasters, climate change that end up affecting the lives of the population. The Defesa Civil plays a more relevant role in our society every day,” he said.

Structure seeks to improve population care

The new headquarters is located in a corner building in the central region, where a company from the vehicle sector previously operated. The structure was adapted to receive municipal services and provide better conditions for both the servers and the population.

In addition to accessibility, the building has individualized spaces for service, legal structure and environments for Procon and Defesa Civil teams.

With the inauguration, the City Council seeks to concentrate services on a definitive structure and expand the capacity of service to consumers of Ponta Grossa.
