The rain in Ponta Grossa may still appear during this Sunday (4), after an early morning marked by the passage of storms in different regions of the Paraná. The advance of an organized line of instability caused heavy rain, gusts of wind, electric shocks and even hail records in the state. In the Campos Gerais, the trend is to reduce instabilities throughout the day.
During the early morning hours, weather radar indicated a well-organized line of storms advancing through Paraná towards the East and Southeast regions. The most intense nuclei were concentrated especially in the West and Central regions, with high electrical activity, intense rainfall and gusts of wind.
The storm caused occurrences in different municipalities of Paraná. There have been records of hail falls, trees felled and damage to real estate. In Laranjeiras do Sul, in the South-Central region, a weather station recorded a gust of 124.2 km/h during the early hours of the morning.
Rain can still reach Ponta Grossa
In Ponta Grossa, the situation showed greater tranquility in the morning after passing the most intense instabilities. Even so, the forecast of Simepar maintains high possibility of rain throughout this Sunday.
For Ponta Grossa, the probability of rainfall is 98%, with a cumulative forecast of approximately 6.3 millimeters. The gusts can reach 47 km/h.
The trend is that the atmospheric conditions show gradual improvement from the afternoon onwards in a good part of the Paraná. Despite this, occasional rains are not yet ruled out.
Therefore, those who want to leave their homes on Sunday, including to vote in the 2026 elections, should be aware of the rapid changes in weather conditions.
