Alexandre Curi votes in Curitiba and highlights expectations in the Senate race

The candidate for the Senate for Paraná Alexandre Curi (Republicans) voted on the morning of Sunday (4), in Curitiba. Current President of the Legislative Assembly of Paraná (Aleppo), Curi attended the Positive Environmental College, in the Hugo Lange neighborhood, to participate in the first round of the 2026 Elections.

After registering the vote, the candidate showed confidence and highlighted the expectation regarding the result of the dispute for the two Paranaense vacancies in the Federal Senate.

Curi also thanked the support received during the campaign and cited the participation of political leaders of the Paraná in its electoral trajectory.

Curi talks about Paraná campaign

During the demonstration after the vote, Alexandre Curi stated that he traveled through different regions of the state during the campaign and that he sought to concentrate his performance on the presentation of proposals.

Among the issues defended by the candidate is a greater participation of Paraná in national discussions, especially in areas such as infrastructure and public policies.

Curi also stated that he intends, if elected, to defend projects and investments aimed at the Paraná municipalities in the Federal Senate.

The election on Sunday represents a change in the political trajectory sought by Curi. Currently a state deputy and president of the Legislative Assembly, he is running for one of the two seats of the Paraná that are in dispute in the Senate.

Paraná chooses two senators

In the 2026 elections, Paraná voters can choose two different candidates for the Federal Senate.

In addition to Alexandre Curi, appear in the list of applications to the Senate in Paraná Cristina Graeml (PSD), Deltan Dallagnol (New), Dr. Rosinha (PT), Filipe Barros (PL), Gleisi (PT), Joaquim do MLB (UP), Karen Guerreiro (Missão) in this time.

Unlike the disputes for president and governor, there is no second round for senator. The two vacancies are for candidates who obtain the highest valid votes in Paraná.

The vote counting takes place after the close of the vote on Sunday, when it will be possible to know the performance of the candidates throughout the Paraná, including Ponta Grossa and the municipalities of the Campos Gerais.

Alexandre Curi participates in the 2026 Elections after a trajectory of six consecutive elections for state deputy. Now, he tries to leave the state legislature to represent Paraná in the Federal Senate.
