The delivery was carried out by the City Hall, through the Social Assistance Foundation of Ponta Grossa (FASPG).

The new equipment will be used in the Inclusive Residence maintained by the institution, which offers accommodation to people with disabilities in situations of dependence and without conditions to rely on family support.

Among the materials delivered are cabinets, tables, sofas, beds, planned kitchens, stoves, electric ovens, refrigerators, freezers, industrial drinkers, air conditioners, oil heaters and sound boxes.

The objective of the investment is to provide better living conditions, comfort and quality of life to residents, in addition to contributing to the work developed by the professionals responsible for the reception.

Investments exceed R$ 530,000 in Ponta Grossa

According to the president of FASPG, Tatyana Belo, the resources come from the Government of the State and have a specific destination for the structuring of Inclusive Residences.

“This is a resource that came from the State and that can only be used in Inclusive Residences. In addition to APEDEF, AAPNENSEL also received almost R$ 177,000. In total, more than R$ 530,000 are invested to improve the reception of people with disabilities in Ponta Grossa," he said.

The coordinator of APEDEF, Francielle Fogaça, stressed the importance of the partnership between the institution and the public authority to strengthen the services provided.

“We received this investment with great gratitude. The partnership with the City Hall and FASPG strengthens our work and shows that caring for people with disabilities is a shared priority,” he said.

The delivery also included the participation of the Director of the Department of Special Social Protection, Michelle Mej.

What are Inclusive Residences?

The Inclusive Residences integrate the services of Special Social Protection of High Complexity of the Unified System of Social Assistance (SUAS).

These units are intended for the reception of young people and adults with disabilities who have some degree of dependence and are unable to remain under the care of the family.

The care seeks to ensure protection, coexistence, autonomy and access to essential care, offering an environment adequate to the needs of residents.

With the new equipment, the expectation is to strengthen the reception structure and expand the comfort and well-being of the people served by the institutions in Ponta Grossa.
