Arena Multiuso hosts finals of Ponta Grossa Municipal Volleyball Championship

The Ponta Grossa Municipal Volleyball Championship has already defined the finalists of the Gold and Silver keys, in the men’s and women’s categories. The vacancies in the decisions were confirmed after the semi-finals held this week in Arena Multiuso.

The competition, promoted by Prefeitura de Ponta Grossa, through the Municipal Sports Secretariat (SMESP), began in the first half of 2026 and brought together 33 teams. There were 16 teams in the male and 17 in the female, involving approximately 350 athletes.

The championship matches are played on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Arena Multiuso, which will also receive the major decisions of the competition.

The ends of the Gold and Silver keys are set

In the women's Silver Key, Meluzzi and Eagles won the spots in the decision. Meluzzi beat Hellas by 2 sets to 0, while the Eagles beat Vibration by 2 to 1.

In the men’s Silver Key, the decision will be disputed between Generation Volley and Makita. The two teams won their semi-finals by 2 sets to 0. The Voley Generation passed through the Eagles, while the Makita eliminated the Orion PG.

For the Women’s Gold Key, Match and Volleyball Springs will compete for the title. Match defeated Phoenix Volleyball 2–0. For the same score, Molas Vôlei won the LVPG/LDPG and confirmed presence in the final.

Among the men, Fluxo Kweens and CDR Volock continue to compete for the Gold Key title. The Kweens Stream won the AVV – Association Vila Velha by 2 sets to 0. CDR Volock secured the qualification after a 2-1 victory over Fratelli.

When will the volleyball finals be in Ponta Grossa?

The women's finals of the Ponta Grossa Municipal Volleyball Championship are scheduled for Tuesday, September 8, at Arena Multiuso.

The male decisions will be made on September 17, also in the Arena Multiuso.

During the first phase of the championship, the teams were divided into groups. From the second stage, the clashes became eliminatory. The division between the Gold and Silver keys allowed more teams to remain active and reach the decisive phases.

In order to participate in the municipal competition, athletes had to prove residence, employment or study in Ponta Grossa.
