Artillerist of Série Prata, Mortadela reinforces ACGF in Ponta Grossa

Mortadela in ACGF is the main novelty of the Ponta Grossa futsal for the decisive straight of the Série Bronze of the Paranaense Championship. The ACGF Ponta Grossa/Grupo Gerencial officially presented the wing/pivot William Valença, 34 years old, top scorer of the Silver Series of 2026 with 23 goals.

Known as Mortadela, the player arrives on loan from Cândido Futsal. In addition to the good individual season, the athlete also carries recent experience in outstanding campaigns: in the last season, he participated in the conquest of the title of Série Bronze by the home club.

This will be Mortadela’s first experience defending a Ponta Grossa futsal team. The player highlighted the tradition of the sport in the municipality and said he was motivated with the opportunity to work for ACGF.

“I am very happy with the opportunity to play in the Ponta Grossa futsal, a city that has a lot of tradition and breathes the sport from the base to the adult category. I have followed closely teams like Keima Futsal and the motivation to build a new story, now with ACGF, is very big.”

Mortadela may open this Saturday

William Valença has experience in European futsal throughout his career and is already regularly registered with the Paranaense Federation of Hall Football (FPFS).

With this, the new ACGF reinforcement is available to the technical committee and can make its debut on Saturday (3), when the team of Ponta Grossa faces Ubiratã Futsal away from home.

The signing comes at one of the most important moments of the season. The ACGF plays the octaves of the Paranaense Futsal Championship Série Bronze and seeks to advance to continue in the fight for access.

The expectation is that Mortadela’s experience and offensive power throughout the Silver Series will increase the team’s options in the knockout stage.

ACGF will decide classification in Ponta Grossa

Regardless of the outcome of the first leg, the setting of the spot will take place in Ponta Grossa.

ACGF/Generial vs. Ubiratã are scheduled to return on October 10 at the Oscar Pereira Gymnasium, starting at 8 pm.

In accordance with the rules of the competition, if each team wins in both matches, or if two draws occur, the classification will be defined in the overtime. It'll be two five-minute times.

If equality remains after the overtime period, the spot for the next phase of the Paranaense Championship will be decided on penalties.
