Aziz and Maria do Carmo will compete in the second round for Amazonas governor
Candidates from PSD and PL were the most voted in the first round

Omar Aziz (PSD) and Professor Maria do Carmo (PL) will play the second round of the election for governor of Amazonas.
The two candidates were the most voted in the first round, held on Sunday (4), according to data from the Superior Electoral Court (TSE).
Aziz finished the count in first place, with 40.34% of the valid votes, or 818,967 votes.
Maria do Carmo came in second with 24.78%, equivalent to 503,081 votes.
As none of the candidates obtained more than half of the valid votes, the election for governor of Amazonas will be decided in the second round, scheduled for October 25.
The other candidates obtained:
Roberto Cidade (União Brasil): 21.8%
David Almeida (Avante): 10.62%
Cabo Daciolo (Mobilization): 1.77%
Isael Munduruku (Network): 0.56%
Gilberto Vasconcelos (PSTU): 0.14%
