See the numbers
R$ 1.325 billion still awaits return;
26.5 million bettors have balance on the platforms;
86.2 million accounts have less than R$ 1;
R$ 15.5 million are in these accounts with a balance between R$ 0.01 and R$ 0.99;
188 legalized sites had the authorization cancelled;
13,241 illegal sites have been referred for blocking.
How will the return be
Banks must transfer the amounts directly to the accounts used by the bettors to make the deposits on the platforms.
The timetable set by the government establishes:
7 and 8 October: bets send the balances to the banks by CPF and the bank details;
October 9 to 14: banks make the return to the bettors;
October 14 onwards: amounts that cannot be returned are forwarded to the Federal Economic Fund;
after transfer to the Cashier: the institution is responsible for completing the refund.
The deadline for the voluntary withdrawal directly on the platforms ended at 23:59 on Monday (5).
Powdered balance
Most of the amounts not yet withdrawn are concentrated in accounts with very small amounts.
According to the government, 86.2 million accounts have a balance between R$ 0.01 and R$ 0.99. Together, they add up to R$ 15.5 million.
The number of accounts is higher than that of bettors because the same person can have registration on more than one platform.
