Body of missing fisherman found and buried in Tibagi
Fisherman André Lucas, 27, had been missing since the 15th at sea

The search for the fisherman André Lucas, 27, a native of Tibagi, who had disappeared at sea since last Thursday, came to an end. The body was found on Friday (23), by fishermen, in São Sebastião, on the coast of São Paulo, and was buried on Sunday (25) in Tibagi, in Cemitério da Conceição.
André lived in Santa Catarina with his mother and worked for almost five years with octopus fishing on the industrial trawler MESTRE GAL S (Navy registration: 443-011043-3 / RGP: SC-0003898-1). He disappeared while working about 60 nautical miles from the Port of Santos.
In an interview with Portal Boca no Trombone on Thursday, the fisherman’s father, Deloir Batista Carneiro, reported that his son’s last contact was on Thursday afternoon, around 3:17 p.m., when he sent videos and audios to a friend on Tibagi.
The company’s owner, Thomas dos Santos, said the searches were being followed by the Navy, Salva Mar de Santos and other vessels in the region, including with air searches. He denied omission and said the Navy was triggered around 6 p.m. on Thursday (15) and that all information was passed on to the family.

Our thanks go out to friends and acquaintances, as well as to the countless people who, even without knowing us, demonstrated a giant empathy and shared the matter to help us find the body of our beloved son, André Lucas. A very special thanks Portal Boca no Trombone, who were present from the first moment we decided to take the case to the media.
