Operator vs CRB is much more than just another Series B game on Wednesday (9), in Ponta Grossa. It is a direct confrontation, it is a game for the G6 and, for the Phantom, it is also an opportunity to show definitively that the victory over Londrina, last Sunday, represented a change of course in this second round.

Today is Ghost Day in the Field. And those days when three points can completely change the atmosphere of a competition.

The Worker enters the field at 8.30 p.m., in Germano Krüger, occupying the seventh place, with 40 points. The CRB, just the opponent tonight, appears in sixth, with 42.

The count is quite simple: he won, reached 43, overtook the CRB itself and finished the night within the group of the first six.

And, in this Brazilian Serie B Championship, being in the G6 has a huge weight.

It's an answer game

There is also a recent story that makes the confrontation even more interesting.

In the first round, in Maceió, CRB beat the Worker by 3 to 0. It was one of the worst performances of the Ghost at that stage of the competition. In the next round came another even stronger blow: defeat by 6 to 2 for the Nautical, within Germano Krüger.

It was two heavy hits.

Only that Worker managed to react, grew up in the competition and made a good first round. The problem appeared again at the beginning of the return, when the team fell in yield and passed several rounds without being able to win.

That is why the 2-1 victory over Londrina, away from home, had a much greater significance than simply adding three points.

The worker had to win again. I needed to regain confidence. And he did.

Now you need to confirm that reaction.

Victory puts the ghost in the G6

The round showed once again how the B series can change quickly.

Youth took the lead by winning Criciúma, while the teams at the top remain separated by relatively small differences. A bad round can cause a team to crash positions. A sequence of two or three wins can definitely put another club in the fight.

This is where the worker comes in.

The new Serie B regulation further increased the importance of the sixth placement. The first two win direct access to the Série A. From third to sixth, four clubs play playoffs for the other two spots.

Therefore, the goal is very clear: to enter the G6 and stay there.

And tonight’s game is just against the current sixth place.

There could be no more direct confrontation.

Luizinho Lopes has defined base

Luizinho Lopes should maintain a good part of the team that has been acting.

Doka is in the medical department, and Maguinho should follow on the right side. The probable basis is Vagner; Maguinho, Cuenú, Joseph and Moraes; Matheus Trindade, Vinícius Diniz and Boschilia.

In front, Ángel Torres and Berto appear again as options on the sides. Pablo felt a muscle discomfort against Londrina and is evaluated to know if he will be able to start. If you do not play, Luizinho Lopes has alternatives to the attack command.

What is expected, above all escalation, is an intense Worker.

The CRB is not an easy opponent. On the contrary. It is a strong team, which has grown in the competition and reaches Ponta Grossa defending precisely the position that the Ghost wants to take.

Rain also comes into the field.

There is also another important character on Wednesday: the rain.

The expectation of bad weather can drive away a part of the public, but Germano Krüger today counts on a lawn in better conditions and a drain that will be put to the test if the rain really tightens during the match.

Inside the field, there is no excuse.

It's night to compete.

It is night to understand the importance of the result.

And it is night when the fan who is in Vila Oficinas can make a difference.

The ghost is alive

The moment outside the four lines also helps to create a positive environment.

The club lives the expectation around the project of modernization of Germano Krüger and will announce on Wednesday the naming rights of the new stadium. The BnT Online exclusively revealed that the agreement has been concluded with Smart Space.

There is a project. There is perspective. There is a club looking to the future.

But football demands answers on the pitch.

And today the answer that matters is against CRB.

To win means to reach 43 points, to enter the G6 and to travel later to face the Nautico, in Recife, with another confidence, another atmosphere and another perspective within the championship.

It won't be easy.

It never is.

But the Ghost is alive.

And a victory tonight can turn what is still hope into a very concrete fight to return to Série A.

Today is Workers' Day. Today is Germano Krüger's day. Today is the day to show how far this Ghost can go.
