Book "My Body Belongs to Me" Will Be Released in October and Addresses the Protection of Children and Adolescents
Book "My Body Belongs to Me," by Cirlene Felde, will be released on October 9th and provides guidance on the protection of children and adolescents

The book “My Body Belongs to Me”, written by the author and psychologist, Cirlene Felde, who works in the region of Ponta Grossa, will be released on October 9. The work presents a practical guide aimed at preventing abuse and violence, developing autonomy and strengthening the protection of children and adolescents from 0 to 18 years.
With the subtitle “Practical guide for prevention, autonomy and resilience: how to shield children and adolescents from 0 to 18 years old”, the publication brings together guidelines for families, educators and caregivers, with the aim of contributing to the construction of a safer and more welcoming environment during the different phases of child and youth development.
The purpose of the book is to show that the protection of children and adolescents also passes through the knowledge of one's own body, the understanding of individual limits and the strengthening of communication between adults and young people.
Prevention and knowledge as protective tools
With the message “Protect is also teaching. Knowledge is power”, the author highlights the importance of information and dialogue in the prevention of risk situations.
The book presents evidence-based content, using accessible language to guide parents, caregivers and professionals who live with children and adolescents.
Among the main subjects addressed are the knowledge of the body and personal limits, the prevention of situations of abuse and violence, the strengthening of communication and active listening, in addition to the development of autonomy, self-esteem and resilience.
The publication also seeks to help adults understand the needs of children and adolescents at different stages of life, from the early years of childhood to the age of 18.
Dialogue and confidence in child development
One of the central points of the work is the importance of establishing relationships of trust between children, adolescents and adults responsible for their protection.
The proposal is to encourage conversations about the body, personal limits and respect, allowing children and adolescents to develop, in an age-appropriate manner, knowledge that contributes to recognizing situations of risk and seek help when necessary.
Strengthening active listening also appears as one of the guidelines presented in the book. The practice involves listening to children and adolescents with attention and care, creating conditions so that they can express feelings, doubts and concerns.
In addition to prevention, the publication addresses the development of self-esteem and resilience, important characteristics for emotional growth and the construction of autonomy.
Launch will be on October 9th
The release of Cirlene Felde’s “My Body Belongs to Me” is scheduled for October 9.
The work is aimed at parents, caregivers, teachers, educators and other professionals interested in understanding and strengthening care for children and adolescents.
With an educational and preventive approach, the book reinforces the importance of family and community participation in building safer environments for child and youth development.
The publication ends with a message that sums up the author’s purpose: “Because a safer future begins with today’s conversations.”
