Broken Sewer Hole Concerns Residents in Vila Nova 2 in PG
Broken sewer in Vila Nova 2, in Ponta Grossa, hinders passage of a child using a wheelchair. Residents demand a solution.

Residents report an explosion in Vila Nova 2, in the Estrela neighborhood, in Ponta Grossa, which was causing disturbances for more than three months. The situation was reported to BnT Online by a family who lives in the vicinity of Rua Anhambe Azul and claims that the conditions of the site make it difficult for pedestrians, especially people with reduced mobility.
According to the report sent to the report, one of the affected families has a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), which at certain times presents episodes in which loses support and falls.
Because of this, the family needs to use a wheelchair to make commutes away from home. However, according to residents, the current conditions of the street make exiting the residence difficult and unsafe.
“To go out with him, she has to put him in a wheelchair. But there's no way to get it right. It’s very bad, very ugly there,” a family member told BnT.
Residents say the problem has been going on for months
In addition to the difficulty faced by the child, residents say that the elderly and other children also circulate daily along the stretch and are exposed to the precarious conditions of the road.
According to the complaint, the problem had been occurring for more than three months. The family also claims that they have sought assistance from Sanepar on different occasions, but that, so far, the situation would not have been solved.
Photos and videos sent to the BnT show the conditions reported by the residents.
The City Hall is questioned
The BnT Online searched for the Prefeitura de Ponta Grossa on Friday (11) and requested information about the problem.
Until the closure of this matter, the Prefeitura de Ponta Grossa had not forwarded an answer to the questions of the BnT Online.
