Câmara of Ponta Grossa forwards R$ 7.5 million to the Municipality to advance 13th salary of employees

The 13th salary of the Ponta Grossa servers will receive a reinforcement of R$ 7.5 million passed on by Câmara Municipal to the City Hall. The resource will be intended to help the Executive to pay for the advance of the benefit, whose payment is scheduled for this Friday (11).

The return of R$ 7.5 million to the Municipal vaults was communicated in the late afternoon of Wednesday (9), during a meeting between prefeita Elizabeth Schmidt (PL), the president of Câmara Municipal de Ponta Grossa, Dr. Erick Camargo (PV), and the licensed president of the Legislative, councillor Julio Kuller (PL).

According to the information released by the House, the amount is the result of savings measures and reduction of expenses adopted by the municipal legislature since January 2025, a period in which Julio Kuller assumed the presidency of the House and Erick Camargo became the vice-president.

Kuller is currently licensed from office to contest a state deputy position in the 2026 election.

The House of Commons will be destined for the 13th

Among the measures pointed out by the legislature for cost reduction is the digitization of the internal processes of the Chamber of Ponta Grossa.

Since last year, protocols, bills, documents and minutes of the sessions have been processed in a fully digital way. According to the Chamber, the change contributed to lower spending on paper, printing and other materials used in legislative activities.

Julio Kuller stated that the accumulated economy over the period allowed the money to be returned to the City Hall.

“With the leanest management of legislative resources over this period, it was possible to generate the economy that will now be destined for the municipal executive,” he said.

Payment will be this Friday

According to the information presented during the meeting on Wednesday, the R$ 7.5 million will help the City Hall in the advance payment of the 13th salary of the servers of Ponta Grossa.

The payment is expected to be made on Friday (11).

The transfer is especially important because it directly affects municipal servers and moves resources in the Ponta Grossa economy. With the return made by the Legislative, the value saved by the Chamber returns to the Executive and can be used to assist in the fulfillment of the sheet relating to the benefit of municipal workers.

The Chamber attributes the availability of resources to the control of administrative expenses and the measures implemented in recent months to make internal procedures more economical.
