Camera captures accident in Ponta Grossa Center where car spins after collision. Four people were attended to and no one needed to go to the hospital.
A security camera caught an accident at the Ponta Grossa Center on Wednesday night at the intersection of Dr. Paula Xavier and Dr. Colares. The images show the moment when one of the cars rolled over the track after the collision. Four people received treatment from Siate, but none needed to be referred to the hospital.
The accident involved a red Renault Sandero and a silver Renault Kwid, which were travelling on different tracks before the crash. The collision occurred in a region of traffic of vehicles and pedestrians, in the central area of Ponta Grossa.
According to the information obtained at the scene, the two drivers presented different versions of the traffic lights at the time of the accident.
The driver of the Renault Sandero reported that he was going along Dr. Paula Xavier Street and said the traffic light was green for his passage when he crossed the intersection.
The driver of the Renault Kwid, who descended the Rua Dr. Colares, presented another version. According to her, a witness witnessed the situation and could confirm that the signal was also green for the vehicle he was driving.
Given the divergent reports, the exact circumstances that caused the collision have not yet been clarified.
Four people receive care after collision
A team of the Integrated Emergency Trauma Service (Siate), of the Fire Department, was activated to provide care to the occupants of the vehicles involved in the accident at the Ponta Grossa Center.
In the Renault Kwid were two women, who went through the evaluation of the rescuers. Despite the care, both chose not to go to a hospital unit and formalized the refusal to refer to the site itself.
In Renault Sandero was a couple. The two occupants were also evaluated by the rescue team and, like the women in the other car, signed the refusal to refer to the hospital.
In all, four people received care after the collision, without the need for hospital transportation.
Camera records moment of accident
The accident caught attention by the movement of one of the vehicles after the impact. A security camera recorded the collision and the moment the car was rolling on the track.
The log shows the visual dynamics of the crash, but the available information still does not allow to point out which of the drivers would have caused the accident.
The versions presented by the drivers on the operation of the traffic lights are divergent, and there is no confirmation as to which of them had the preference of passage at the time of the collision.
The case occurred at a crossroads in the central region of the city and mobilized the attention of the Fire Department on Wednesday night.
Despite the scare and damage resulting from the crash, all four occupants of the vehicles remained in the place after receiving care and refused hospital referral.
