Car Car Loaded with Perfumes, Cellphones and Medicines is Seized in Irati

At around 7:10 p.m. on Thursday, the Military Police communications center informed the area teams about a car suspected of transporting illicit goods, which was coming from the border via the highway towards the capital. The approach occurred in Irati.

The police teams moved to the highway and, around 7:30 p.m., located and boarded the car. In the vehicle were a driver and a passenger.

In the personal search, nothing illicit was found, but the occupants confirmed that they were returning from the border where they had bought goods. During the inspection in the car, several products were located and seized:

28 perfume boxes of various brands, 4 cell phones (three semi-nine and one new), 20 cigarette wallets, 1 watch, 1 facial cream, 2 cell phone caps, 3 electronic radios, 2 batteries and 4 batteries, 2 cell phone chargers, 5 pairs of sandals type babuche and 1 pair of sneakers.

In the face of the facts, the goods, the vehicle and those approached were referred to the headquarters of the Military Police company. Contact was made with the Federal Revenue Service which, after analyzing the case, directed the seizure of all objects and the automobile, in addition to the release of those addressed.

The occupants were released on the spot and the material was seized for later collection by the competent body.
