Car crash after collision leaves mother and child injured in Ponta Grossa

An accident in the Campo Belo region in Ponta Grossa ended with a vehicle falling and left a 26-year-old woman and a child approximately 1 year and 4 months injured. The collision occurred on Monday (7), at the intersection of Rua Cabo Antônio Marcos de Freitas with Rua Dirceu Chagas, in the neighborhood of Oficinas.

According to preliminary information obtained on the spot, a Renault Clio was following the Rua Cabo Antônio Marcos de Freitas when it became involved in a collision with a Volkswagen Golf silver, which was traveling along the Rua Dirceu Chagas. With the impact, the Clio ended up falling on the road.

Inside the Renault were a 26-year-old woman and a child, a boy of approximately 1 year and 4 months. The two received assistance from firefighters.

The victims had injuries considered mild but were referred to UPA Santa Paula for more detailed medical evaluation.

Another vehicle left the scene.

According to reports gathered at the site of the occurrence, the Golf would have advanced the preference at the intersection before the collision.

After the accident, the vehicle left the site before the arrival of the security teams. During the crash, part of the bumper and the car's license plate would have remained on the track.

These elements were found on the spot and may help in the identification of the vehicle and the occupants.

The circumstances of the collision and the possible responsibility of those involved should still be formally determined by the responsible authorities. Teams of the Military Police and the Traffic Police Battalion were at the address to record the occurrence and perform the necessary procedures.
