Caso Hugo: five are indicted for homicide in Ponta Grossa barbershop
Crime occurred in June of this year. With the five men indicted and the investigation already forwarded, it now falls to the Judiciary to analyze the indictment offered by the Public Prosecutor's Office.
The Ponta Grossa Civil Police concluded the investigation last week, indicting five suspects for the murder of Hugo Gabriel Moll and the attempted murder of João Victor Pereira. On the 14th, the Public Prosecutor’s Office filed a complaint against the group. The crimes occurred on June 19, 2026, inside a barber shop in Ponta Grossa.
Investigations have shown that Hugo was killed by mistake. The attack was directed at an individual who was in the barbershop minutes before the crime, a disaffection of the criminals.
The investigation revealed that the criminal action was structured and planned in advance, with a clear division of tasks. From the elements collected, the Civil Police identified the commanders and articulators, the shooter, the driver of the motorcycle, as well as those responsible for providing shelter to the executor and for hiding the firearm.
With the five men indicted and the investigation already underway, it is now up to the Justice to analyze the complaint offered by the Public Prosecutor’s Office. Being the complaint received by the Judiciary, the accused must become defendants and formally answer for the crimes in the process.
