Castrolanda 75 Years Race Awaits 500 People in Castro; Registrations Open
Event will take place on October 18, with 5 km and 10 km races, 3 km walk and Kids race of 200 meters; registrations are open to the public.

In celebration of Castrolanda’s 75th birthday, Castro will receive, on October 18, the first edition of the 75th Castrolanda Race. The event will be held at Parque Tecnológico Agroleite, on PR-340, Km 198, and will bring together athletes, collaborators, cooperators and community participants in a program focused on sports practice, saúde e bem-estar.
The expectation is to bring together at least 500 participants in the different modalities: 5 km and 10 km races, 3 km walk and 200 m Kids race. Registration is open to the public and can be made through the Ticket Sports platform, where the rules of the event are also available.
For Castrolanda, holding the race represents an opportunity to celebrate their anniversary in a way that also encourages healthy habits and strengthens the cooperative’s relationship with the community.
“It is an event that was designed to provide health, well-being and integration. We want to bring our collaborators, cooperators and the community together at a time of celebration of Castrolanda’s 75th anniversary,” explains Isadora Carneiro Fontoura, People Management Analyst at Castrolanda.
Sport and integration
The choice of the Parque Tecnológico Agroleite as the starting and finishing point also contributes to bringing the public closer to one of the spaces that represent Castrolanda’s trajectory of growth and innovation.
Known nationally and internationally for hosting Agroleite, the Parque Tecnológico annually receives companies, producers, professionals and visitors linked to agribusiness. With the race, the expectation is to further expand the visibility of the space and enable participants from Castro and other municipalities to know the structure.
The initiative also already has participants from different municipalities. Among the cities with registered are Castro, Arapoti, Carambeí, Colombo, Curitiba, Ibaiti, Ipiranga, Piraí do Sul, Ponta Grossa, Salto da Ontra, Telêmaco Borba and Ventania.
Preparation of collaborators
Participants will be collaborators of Castrolanda, who have also been preparing for the event. Through the Association of Employees of the Castrolanda Cooperative (AFCC), the cooperative signed a partnership with L2A Racing Advisory to offer training to professionals interested in participating in the event.
The initiative came after an internal survey to identify the interest of employees in starting to run. Many of them had never practiced the sport and found in the race an opportunity to start a routine of physical activity.
In addition to contributing to the preparation for the test, the action seeks to stimulate health care and well-being and promote integration between professionals from different areas of the cooperative.
Awards
The 75-year-old Castrolanda Race will have prizes for the participants of the 5 km and 10 km races. Trophies will be awarded to the top three overall and the top three placed by age category, in the male and female categories, in both distances.
The top three overall, male and female, will also receive cash prizes, being R$ 1,000 for the first place; R$ 800 for the second and R$ 700 for the third. The values will be granted for both the 5 km and the 10 km.
75 year old special identity kits
All registered participants will receive a personalized kit of the event, which includes a t-shirt with the Castrolanda 75th anniversary mark. Among the items are t-shirt, half theme of cow, visor, number of chest with pins, plus a flyer about the history of Castrolanda and a coffee voucher, and other gifts.
The delivery of the kits will take place on October 17th, from 2pm to 6pm, at Parque Tecnológico Agroleite. On the day of the event, October 18, there will be an exclusive delivery to athletes from other municipalities, from 6 a.m. to 6.30 a.m.
In addition to the items in the kit, all participants will have access to hydration during and after the test, emergency medical assistance and athlete insurance.
The sock with cow print was specially designed for the occasion and helps to reinforce the identity of the race with the dairy activity, so present in the history of Castro and Castrolanda.
Kits and inscriptions
Applications are open until October 11 or while there are vacancies on the Ticket Sports website. There are differentiated conditions for Castrolanda employees and cooperators, in addition to statutory discounts for participants aged 60 and over and racing groups.
