Centro Hospitalar São Camilo reaches maximum score in Anvisa evaluation
Centro Hospitalar São Camilo achieves 100% in Anvisa evaluation and is the only one in Campos Gerais with maximum performance among hospitals with ICU.

The Centro Hospitalar São Camilo achieved 100% compliance in the National Patient Safety Practices Assessment 2025, conducted by the National Agency of Vigilância Sanitária (Anvisa). The performance places the institution among the most prominent hospitals of the Paraná and as the only of the Campos Gerais, among the units with ICU, to reach the maximum index in the evaluation.
According to data released by the State Government, only 13 hospitals with Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Paraná achieved 100% of the criteria analyzed by Anvisa. Two dialysis services also reached the maximum index. The Centro Hospitalar São Camilo is the only Campos Gerais to receive the merit.
In all, 70 Paraná health facilities were recognized in the evaluation. Of these, 15 obtained full adherence to the criteria established by the regulatory body.
Evaluation considers patient safety
The National Assessment of Patient Safety Practices analyzes the implementation of measures considered essential to reduce risks during hospital care.
Among the items evaluated are the performance of the Patient Safety Center, the application of care protocols, actions to prevent and control infections and the monitoring of incidents related to care.
These practices allow you to identify possible risks, improve internal processes and increase the safety of both patients and professionals responsible for care.
Hospital highlights work of teams
For the director of Centro Hospitalar São Camilo, Evandro Klein, the result is a reflection of the work carried out daily by the professionals of the institution.
“Achieving 100% compliance in Anvisa’s assessment is an important recognition of the work we do on a daily basis. This result reflects the commitment of our teams to patient safety and reinforces that the quality of care is built with responsibility, well-established protocols and continuous improvement of processes,” he says.
According to Klein, the institution intends to continue investing in improving care practices and patient safety.
“Our commitment is to continue to improve care and put life first,” she adds.
Unique of Campos Gerais with maximum index
The result gains regional prominence because the Centro Hospitalar São Camilo was the only hospital of the Campos Gerais, among the institutions with ICU evaluated, to achieve 100% compliance.
The classification highlights the application of protocols and procedures aimed at patient safety and continuous monitoring of the quality of services provided.
According to the hospital, the performance is also the result of the involvement of different sectors and professionals in the consolidation of a safety culture within the institution.
The evaluation of Anvisa also serves as an instrument to encourage health facilities to identify points of improvement, strengthen protocols and reduce risks related to hospital care.
