Child dies after landslide in Ronda; tragedy leaves three victims in PG

The child who was being cared for after a mudslide recorded on Thursday morning in the Ronda neighborhood of Ponta Grossa, died. With the update, the incident leaves three victims in death: a man, a woman and a child.

Initially, the information pointed to the death of two adults, while the child remained under the care of emergency teams in a very serious state. The death of the third victim was also confirmed.

The landslide occurred in a region close to the INSS, at a point of difficult access. The address is on a dead end, with a stretch of dirt road and a lot of mud.

The house would have collapsed after the rain

According to preliminary information obtained by BnT Online, a residence collapsed on residents after the rains recorded in the region.

The exact circumstances that caused the slippage must still be clarified by the authorities responsible for attending to the occurrence.

Teams from the 2nd Fire Group were mobilized to the site. The Mobile Emergency Service (Samu) also participated in the service, including with medical staff.

The difficulty of access and the large amount of mud on the stretch required a wide mobilization of emergency teams.

Three people died

With the confirmation of the death of the child, the slip counts three fatalities: a man, a woman and a child.

The identities and ages of the victims have not been officially disclosed.

The teams are still working on the site, and new information will be able to clarify the conditions of the property and the circumstances that led to the collapse.
