Church carries out September Yellow Action in Ponta Grossa and celebrates 39 years

An action of the Yellow September in Ponta Grossa brought together members of IEQ Reborn and pastor Iran Filho, this weekend, in Avenida Visconde de Taunay, in front of the Shopping Palladium, in the region of Ronda. The initiative seeks to raise awareness about suicide prevention and to spread the word about a support group for people in need of shelter.

The pastor and members of the Church of the Quadrangular Gospel were in the area of the roundabout talking with locals and drivers passing by. The mobilization is part of the actions carried out during the Yellow September, a national campaign dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of mental health care and suicide prevention.

According to pastor Iran Filho, in addition to drawing the attention of the population to the theme, the church seeks to show that there are spaces where people who are facing difficult times can find support and welcome.

“We are here in the Viscount of Taunay Avenue, in the city of Ponta Grossa, in front of the Shopping Mall, doing work on raising awareness of Yellow September, preventing suicide and offering help with a support group so that people who need care can find a place where they can be welcomed,” explained the pastor.

Church completes 39 years in Ronda

The action also takes place at a special time for the religious community. The Church of the Quadrangular Gospel located in the Ronda district completes 39 years of activities in Ponta Grossa.

According to Iran Filho, the date will be celebrated this Sunday (27) by the community. The anniversary marks nearly four decades of church activity in the neighborhood and participation in religious and community activities.

“Together with this action, we will also celebrate tomorrow the 39th anniversary of our church here in the Ronda neighborhood, in the city of Ponta Grossa,” he said.

The mobilization of the Yellow September in Ponta Grossa, therefore, also integrates the programming that precedes the celebration of the anniversary of the church.

During the activity held in Avenida Visconde de Taunay, members of IEQ Reborn took advantage of the contact with the community to reinforce the importance of seeking help in situations of emotional distress.

The proposal of the group is to maintain a space of support and welcome for those who feel the need to talk or seek guidance. The church reinforces that people who are going through difficult times do not have to face the situation alone and can seek specialized help and support networks.

The celebration of the 39th anniversary of the Church of the Quadrangular Gospel of the Round takes place on Sunday, bringing together members and people who have been part of the history of the community over the last decades.
