CinePG will have free movie sessions in honor of Ponta Grossa's 203 years
The CinePG starts on Tuesday (8) a special program to commemorate Ponta Grossa's 203 years. All sessions start at 7pm and are free entrance

The free cinema on Ponta Grossa gets a special schedule starting this Tuesday (8). In celebration of the 203 years of the municipality, the Culture Center / CinePG will exhibit during the month of September films recorded or produced in the region, as well as national works related to the local cinematographic history.
All sessions are scheduled for 7pm and will be free of charge.
The program begins on Tuesday (8) with “Cafundó”, a national production of drama directed by Paulo Betti and starring Lázaro Ramos. The length of the film, lasting 1h42, opens the special sequence of exhibitions.
The proposal is to bring the public closer to audiovisual production and, at the same time, to value works related to Ponta Grossa and Campos Gerais.
The Campos Gerais documentary will be shown this Wednesday
On Wednesday (9), CinePG presents “Carnival of Campos Gerais: Rhythm, Passion and Resistance”.
Produced in 2025, the documentary has a duration of 56 minutes and integrates programming focused on cultural production and regional memory.
The session also starts at 7pm, with free entry.
Classic 1966 is in the program
After the first sessions, the programming will resume on September 22, a Tuesday.
On the date, the public will be able to watch “The Devil of Vila Velha”, national production of 1966. The drama is approximately 1h30 long and will be shown at 19h.
The presence of the film reinforces CinePG’s proposal to bring together different periods of audiovisual production related to the region during the celebrations of the city’s anniversary.
‘Ponta Grossa, Não Sei Se Te Amo’ closes CinePG programming
The special program ends on Wednesday, September 30, with a production directly linked to the city.
The CinePG will feature "Ponta Grossa, I Don't Know If I Love You," released in 2024. The drama/romance is 1h24 long and features different looks and character relationships with Ponta Grossa.
The film has previously been part of the CinePG programming. The work brings together five stories of youth and different perspectives on landscapes, characters and the relationship of young people with the municipality.
The session starts at 7pm and you will also have free entry.
