Civil Defense warns of risk of strong thunderstorms in Ponta Grossa
Warning predicts rain with lightning and is valid until 6:05 PM today (Tuesday, 29)
The Defesa Civil issued an alert for heavy rainfall and risk of heavy storms on the Paraná on Tuesday (29). The press release informs the possibility of rain accompanied by thunderstorms in the areas covered by the notice, valid until 18:05.
“Rain with thunderstorms and risk for strong thunderstorms in the next three hours in your region. Beware,” the message sent to the residents registered in the alerts service.

The guidance is that the population follow the recommendations of the local Defesa Civil and the contingency plan of each municipality. In case of emergency, residents should call 199, of the Defesa Civil, or 193, of the Fire Department.

The warning also does not indicate predicted rain volumes or wind speeds. The recommendation is to keep an eye on official body updates during the validity period.
