A traffic accident left a driver injured late Monday after a collision involving three vehicles at the intersection of Rua Catão Monclaro with Duque de Caxias Square in the central region at Ponta Grossa. The incident was recorded around 7:57 p.m. and mobilized roadside assistance and medical relief teams.
According to information provided by the patrulhamento viário team that attended the situation, the accident involved a Peugeot 208, a Renault Duster and a Ford Ka. According to reports collected on the spot, the first two vehicles traveled along the Rua Catão Monclaro, in a neighborhood sense, with Peugeot following the right lane and Renault following the left lane.
According to the initial survey, the Ford Ka would have advanced the red signal of the existing traffic light system at the intersection with the Duque de Caxias Square. As a result, the vehicle crossed the other two cars passing by.
The impact caused a collision considered complex by the care teams. Despite the material damage to the vehicles involved, only one person needed medical referral.
The driver of the Ford Ka was assisted by the Integrated Emergency Trauma Service (SIATE) and referred for medical evaluation. So far, no updated information has been released about the health of the victim.
The teams carried out the necessary procedures on site and prepared the case report. The complete dynamics of the accident should be analyzed according to the records made during the care.
