Commander of the PM visits Piraí do Sul, Arapoti and Jaguariaíva to strengthen security

The Commander of the Military Police, Colonel PM Damião Eneias Melo dos Santos, carried out on Thursday (10) institutional visits to the municipalities of Piraí do Sul, Arapoti and Jaguariaíva. The agenda aimed to follow the structure of police units, meet local demands and expand the dialogue with representatives of the municipalities of Campos Gerais.

The commander of the 4th Comando Regional of the Military Police (4th CPMR) was accompanied by the commander of the 3rd Company of the 1st Battalion of the Military Police (1st BPM), Captain PM Bruno Araujo Oliveira.

During the passage through Piraí do Sul, the Military Police Commander visited the corporate premises and closely followed the activities carried out by the police officers who work in the municipality.

The agenda also included visits to Military Police units in Arapoti and Jaguariaíva. In these municipalities, in addition to monitoring police structures, officers held meetings with local mayors to strengthen the rapprochement between the Military Police and municipal administrations.

According to the corporation, the visits are part of a strategy to approach the comando regional with the units subordinated to the 4th CPMR, allowing to know the characteristics of each municipality and to evaluate the needs related to public safety.

The presence of comando regional in cities also seeks to expand the integration between Military Police, public managers and community, strengthening joint actions aimed at preventing and meeting the demands of the population.

The 4th Comando Regional of the Military Police is responsible for planning and coordinating the activities of the corporation in different municipalities of the region, monitoring the work carried out by the companies and police detachments.

The visit of the Military Police Commander reinforces the institutional performance of the PM in the Campos Gerais and demonstrates the search for greater proximity between those responsible for regional policing and municipal authorities.
