Congress of Education gathers over 4,000 people on the first day in Ponta Grossa

The first day of the 13th Ponta Grossa Education Congress gathered more than 4,000 people on Tuesday (29). The audience includes students, parents, teachers and other participants who have passed through the Event Center and also attended the official opening held at Cine-Teatro Ópera.

Promoted by Prefeitura de Ponta Grossa, through the Municipal Secretariat of Education, the congress brings together projects developed by the Municipal Education Network, cultural presentations, workshops and lectures aimed at education professionals and the school community.

Projects of the Municipal Network are presented to the public

Since the early morning, the Event Center has received visitors interested in learning about initiatives developed by the schools and Municipal Centers of Educação Infantil (CMEIs).

Among the projects presented are the Creative Learning Laboratories (LAC), the “Let’s Eat and Play!” program and English for Kids, as well as other experiments carried out individually by the teaching units or integrated throughout the Municipal Network.

During the day, the public also followed cultural presentations made by the students and circus workshops with the Palhaço Picolé.

The program also included activities promoted by the municipal health secretaries and Meio Ambiente and the Municipal Civil Guard.

Opening had a talk by Marcos Meier

During the night, the Cine-Teatro Ópera received the official opening of the congress. The program was attended by prefeita Elizabeth Schmidt and a lecture by Professor Marcos Meier.

With the theme “The role of leadership in the challenge of making happen”, Meier addressed aspects related to leadership, education and team development within the school environment.

According to prefeita Elizabeth Schmidt, the event also functions as a space to present to the population the work done in the municipal schools and discuss the next challenges of education.

“More than education as a priority, we have at this congress an opportunity to live even more intensely the projects developed by our schools and debate important issues about the present and the future of our learning”, he said.

Workshops began this Wednesday

The program of the 13th Education Congress continues this Wednesday (30).

In addition to the activities held in the Event Center, which run until Friday, nine other Ponta Grossa spaces receive lectures and workshops related to different segments of education.

The activities are aimed especially at professionals in the area and include debates, training and exchange of experiences on practices applied inside and outside the classroom.

Registration is free and can be made through the Sympla platform, on the official page provided by the event organization.

The Education Congress is an initiative of the Municipal Secretariat of Education of Ponta Grossa and reaches the 13th edition bringing together projects, experiences and discussions on the current and future challenges of education in the municipality.
