Conmebol sets dates of Libertadores semifinals; see the matches

Conmebol confirmed on Monday (21st) the calendar of the semi-finals of the Copa Libertadores 2026. With three Brazilian clubs among the four classified, the competition enters the decisive straight with matches scheduled for October 14, 15, 21 and 22.

Fluminense and Palmeiras will play a place in the decision in a Brazilian confrontation, while Flamengo will face Estudiantes, from Argentina. All departures are scheduled to start at 21:30, in Brasília time.

The grand final will be held on November 28 at the Estadio Centenario in Montevideo, Uruguay.

Fluminense and Palmeiras open the semifinals of the Libertadores

The first semi-final match will take place on October 14, a Wednesday, when Fluminense will receive Palmeiras at Maracanã, in Rio de Janeiro.

The return match will be played a week later, on October 21, at Nubank Park, in São Paulo. With this, Palmeiras will have the advantage of making the second match in front of his fans.

The duel between the two clubs guarantees the presence of at least one Brazilian team in the final of the Libertadores 2026.

Flamengo faces Estudiantes for vacancy in decision

In the other semi-final, Flamengo will face Estudiantes, an Argentine representative who seeks to reach the continental decision.

The first game will be held on October 15th, under the command of Estudiantes. The stadium that will host the match had not yet been confirmed in the Conmebol announcement.

The decision of the vacancy will take place on October 22, at the Maracanã, in Rio de Janeiro, when Flamengo will receive the Argentine team.

As in the confrontation between Fluminense and Palmeiras, the two games are scheduled for 21:30.

The final of the Libertadores will have a millionaire award

In addition to the dispute for the continental title, the four semi-finalists are also keeping an eye on the awards offered by Conmebol.

The two teams that advance the decision will have guaranteed a prize of US$ 7 million, equivalent to approximately R$ 36 million.

The club that wins the title will receive $ 25 million, about R $ 129 million, while the runner-up will get $ 7 million.

The final of the Libertadores 2026 is scheduled for November 28, at the Estadio Centenario, in Montevideo, Uruguay. The decision will be disputed in a single match.
