CRMB Itinerante brings guidance on violence against women to Uvaranas Terminal
CRMB Itinerante in Ponta Grossa carries out action at Uvaranas Terminal on Monday (28), with guidance and support for women
The Brazilian Women’s Reference Center (CRMB) is holding on Monday (28) another edition of the CRMB Itinerante project in Ponta Grossa. This time, the action will be promoted in the Uvaranas Terminal, from 12:00 to 15:00, with guidance on the different types of violence against women and information on the care network available in the municipality.
During the activity, the teams will talk to the women who circulate through the terminal, present the services offered by the CRMB and guide on ways to identify situations of violence, seek help and access the reception channels.
The proposal of the project is to bring the Reference Center closer to the population and bring the policies of confronting violence against women to different points of Ponta Grossa.
Project runs through neighborhoods of Ponta Grossa
The CRMB Itinerante started on August 31, with an action held at the Alfredo Levandóski Basic Health Unit, in the Gralha Azul neighborhood.
The initiative should continue to pass through other regions of the city, expanding access to information and allowing women to know the protection and care services even without having to directly seek the headquarters of the Reference Center.
According to CRMB coordinator Tânia Sviercoski, the choice of places with large movement of people helps to reach women who often do not spontaneously seek the service.
“The terminal is where thousands of women pass by every day, on their way to work, school, the doctor. Many live situations of violence without realizing or knowing that there is a place where they can be welcomed. We want them to know that the CRMB is open doors and that no one needs to face this alone,” she says.
