Crowd of people and gunshots end in arrest and seizure in Castro

During the night of Monday (12), in Castro, an incident involving crowding of people and gunfire was recorded in the region of Vila Rio Branco. The case ended with arrest and seizure.

According to information, the Military Police team went to the site after request via central 190, where there was a complaint that gunfire was taking place, and it was also reported that there was a large crowd of people, who were ingesting alcoholic beverages, with high volume sound on public roads, there was a risk of riot.

As soon as the teams arrived, it was possible to see a large crowd of people on public roads and in the garage area of the residence, who were ingesting alcoholic beverages. "The presence of a large sound box, positioned next to the gate of the residence and directed to the public road, at a high volume, was verified. In the face of the situation, a voice of approach was given to those present, and some individuals who were close to the public road followed the police order, while other people began to enter the interior of the property," explains the PM.

Considering the allegations of fire from

the large number of people present and the possibility of having a firearm inside the property, the teams entered the residence to investigate the complaint, accompanied by the person in charge of the property.

"At one point, during an inspection carried out in the wardrobe of the couple's room, a 38-caliber Taurus revolver was located under a cover, along with six 38-caliber SPL ammunitions, three intact and three deflated. Upon realizing that the weapon had been located, the woman who accompanied the search declared that the weapon would be her property, informing, however, that she did not have any documentation of carriage or any documentation that could be found.

"We're trying to prove the regularity of the weaponry," the PM said.

The woman was given a prison voice. In view of the lady and the weapon located, another involved declared that he would be the owner of the weapon, stating that the weapon belonged to him and that it should be taken to the police station.

The woman, in turn, reported that the man was drunk and that the weapon belonged to her. Faced with the facts, the armament, the ammunition, both

involved were referred to the 43rd Police Station, being presented to the police authority.
