Dr. Daniel elected governor of Pará in first round
Candidate of Podemos obtained 51.75% of valid votes, according to TSE

Dr. Daniel (Podemos) was elected governor of Pará on Sunday (4), in the first round of the 2026 elections.
The candidate of the coalition O Pará é do Povo (Pode/PL/DC/Novo/Solidarity) obtained 51.75% of the valid votes, the equivalent of 2,307,995 votes, according to data from the Superior Electoral Court (TSE).
By 9:02 p.m., 97.7% of the ballot boxes had been totaled in the state.
Dr. Daniel was ahead of Hana Ghassan (MDB), who received 46.15% of the vote.

Ruth Reis (Democrat): 0.04%
Election to governor is defined in the first round when a nomination gets more than half of the valid votes. With the result, there will be no second round for the government of Pará.
Who is the new governor
Daniel Barbosa Santos is a physician and was born in Açailândia (MA). He was mayor of Ananindeua (PA) for two terms.
Before that, he was councilman, state deputy and president of the Legislative Assembly of Pará.
The vote for governor took place simultaneously with the election for president, senator and federal, state or district deputies (in the case of the Federal District).
