Driver dies after collision between four vehicles on PR-170 in Guarapuava
Accident on PR-170 in Guarapuava leaves a driver dead after lateral collision involving four vehicles in the afternoon of this Monday.
An accident on the PR-170 in Guarapuava ended with a driver killed on the afternoon of Monday (21). The occurrence was recorded at about 2 p.m., at km 382.8 of the state highway, in the stretch between Guarapuava and Entre Rios.
According to information provided by the Paraná Military Police (PMPR), through the Road Police Battalion (BPRv), the accident involved four vehicles: two trucks, a semi-trailer and a Ford Cargo truck.
According to the data collected on the spot, the Iveco/Stralis HD truck, with plates of São João from Boa Vista (SP), which was attached to the semi-trailer, was heading Guarapuava-Pinhão when the lateral collision with other vehicles that were traveling in the opposite direction occurred.
The impact involved a Volvo VM330 truck, with plates from Guarapuava, and a Ford Cargo, also registered in the municipality. The driver of the Iveco and semi-trailer, a 40-year-old man, could not resist the injuries and died at the scene of the accident.
The other drivers involved were not injured. The driver of the Volvo VM330, 46, and the driver of the Ford Cargo, 35, remained uninjured after the collision.
Service teams were activated to provide support in the event and perform the necessary procedures. The dynamics of the accident will be determined by the responsible bodies.
