Driver dies in serious accident involving trucks and car on PR-151 in Ponta Grossa

A serious accident between two trucks and a vehicle left one driver dead and another injured on Tuesday night, between the municipalities of Ponta Grossa and Palmeira. The occurrence was recorded at kilometer 343 of PR-151.
The accident involved a Mercedes Benz truck coupled to a trailer (loaded with logs), both from Itaperuçu, a VW 26.320 truck (tank with milk) coupled to a trailer, both from Palmeira, and a GM Celta de Ponta Grossa automobile.
According to information obtained on the spot by Portal BnT, the truck Mercedes Benz driven by a 25-year-old driver was heading Palm to Ponta Grossa when due to a work on the track, the trailer swing and ended up colliding sideways with the VW truck that was coming in the opposite direction. With the impact, the VW and trailer left the track, fell into a ravine and crashed into the slope.
The carriage then hit Celta, which was parked near the highway. The VW driver, a 40-year-old man, died at the scene. The driver of the Celta, 41 years old, who is security of the work, had moderate injuries and was rescued by the team of the Samu. The driver of the Mercedes Benz was not injured, but he was taken care of by the Fire Department (Siate) team.
The collision caused damage to the vehicles and left loads of logs scattered throughout the track. The State Highway Police (PRE) who also provided assistance, highlighted that the highway had to be partially prohibited to attend the occurrence and removal of vehicles. By morning, the road was already cleared.
