A drunk driver in Ponta Grossa was arrested on Saturday afternoon after being caught driving in zigzag on Porto Alegre Araújo Street in the New Russia region. The incident was attended by the team of patrulhamento viário of the Superintendence of Traffic and Road Safety.
According to the team’s report, the agents were patrolling the Palmeirinha region when they noticed a vehicle Fiat Uno traveling irregularly along the road, offering the risk of an accident. Before the situation, the preventive approach to the driver was carried out.
During the conversation with the driver, the officers identified several irregularities. The vehicle had pending documentation and accumulated debts since 2018, which exceeded R$ 10 thousand.
In addition, it was found that the driver did not have a National License (CNH). According to the team responsible for the approach, the driver showed visible signs of drunkenness, such as ethyl breath, red eyes and difficulty balancing.
The driver was asked to perform the ethylometer test, popularly known as the breathalyzer test. The equipment showed a result of 0.76 mg/L of alcohol per liter of alveolar air, an index that led to the arrest of the driver.
After the verification of the situation, the man received a voice of imprisonment and was referred to the police station for legal procedures. The vehicle Fiat Uno was removed to the yard due to irregularities found.
