Case of drunk driving in Ponta Grossa ended with two men taken to the police station and a VW Gol seized by the police

The drunken driving in Ponta Grossa ended with two men sent to the police station on Friday night (2), in the Boa Vista neighborhood. According to the Military Police, a VW Gol caught the attention during patrol after being seen at incompatible speed with the track and performing prohibited overtaking.
According to the police report, the team started monitoring the car and used sound and light signals to determine the driver's stop. The follow-up took place for approximately 1.5 kilometers until the vehicle was boarded.
Driver refused ethanol test
After the approach, the police offered the driver the ethylometer test. As recorded by the team responsible for the occurrence, the man refused to perform the procedure.
In response to the refusal, the police made a Notice of Signs of Alteration of Psychomotor Ability. According to the PM, elements that indicated alteration of the ability to drive the vehicle were observed.
The 35-year-old driver received a voice of imprisonment and was referred to the 13th Police Subdivision (13th SDP) of Ponta Grossa for proper procedures.
The owner of the car was also taken to the police station.
The 26-year-old passenger of the Gol presented himself to the police as the owner of the vehicle. According to the record of the occurrence, he reported allowing the other man to drive because he had also ingested alcohol.
The police said the owner showed visible signs of drunkenness. For this reason, he was also referred to the 13th SDP.
The case involved both the suspicion of drunk driving in Ponta Grossa and the situation of allowing a person without driving conditions to take over the driving of the car.
Gol was collected due to administrative delays
During the incident, the police cleared the infraction documents considered pertinent.
The VW Gol, of AIJ-4756 plates, had administrative pending and was collected in the courtyard of the police unit.
The incident was recorded in the Boa Vista neighborhood and referred to the Civil Police, which was responsible for the sequence of procedures related to the two involved.
No accidents or injuries were reported during police follow-up.
