Driver loses control and hits tree during the early morning in Ponta Grossa

A collision in Ponta Grossa ended with a Peugeot 408 against a tree early on Sunday (27), at the intersection of Dr. Lauro Cunha Fortes Street with Avenida Bispo Dom Geraldo Pellanda. The incident was recorded at around 5:14 am, near the Tozetto Supermarket.

According to information from the Traffic and Road Safety sector, the team was activated by the Central to attend the occurrence. Upon arriving at the address, officers found the vehicle involved after the crash against a tree located on the central site.

According to the report provided by the driver to the agents, she was following Dr. Lauro Cunha Fortes Street in the direction of neighborhood-Centro when she lost control of the direction. The Peugeot 408 invaded the central construction site and hit a tree.

With the force of the impact, the car finished its journey already on the Avenida Bispo Dom Geraldo Pellanda, near number 210, also in the direction of the neighborhood-Center.

Driver refuses medical attention

The 34-year-old driver received the offer of medical attention after the collision in Ponta Grossa, but declined the referral. According to the report of the occurrence, she claimed to be well and showed no visible signs of injuries.

The impact caused significant damage to the vehicle. The crankcase was broken, causing a large amount of oil to leak over the track.

Due to the situation, it was necessary to request support from the Fire Department. The team carried out the application of lime on the oil spilled on the road to reduce risks on site and allow the normalization of traffic safety conditions.

Ethylmeter Test

During the service, the agents offered the driver the ethylometer test. As recorded in the report of the occurrence, the result was 0.24 milligram of alcohol per liter of expired alveolar air.

Also according to the information passed on by the Traffic and Road Safety sector, an infraction order was made based on article 165 of the Brazilian Traffic Code (CTB).

The driver's National License (CNH) and Peugeot documentation were regular.

In addition to the auto of infraction, the team responsible for the service carried out the Bulletin of Traffic Accident referring to the occurrence.

Despite the damage to the car and the need for intervention on the runway because of the spilled oil, there was no record of apparent injuries to the driver.
