Drivers are injured in accident on PR-160 in Telêmaco Borba

A head-on collision on PR-160 left two drivers injured early on Sunday at Telêmaco Borba in the Campos Gerais do Paraná. The accident occurred at around 3:35 a.m., at km 218+200 of the highway, and involved a Volkswagen Gol and a Fiat Uno.

According to information from the Paraná (PMPR) Military Police, through the Road Police Battalion (BPRv), the two vehicles were traveling along the PR-160 in opposite directions when they ended up getting involved in the frontal collision.

The Volkswagen Gol was stationed in Jabuti (PR), according to information provided by the State Road Police. The vehicle was driven by a 58-year-old man who suffered injuries considered moderate.

The driver of the Fiat Uno was also injured

The second automobile involved was a Fiat Uno, with Telêmaco Borba plates. The 25-year-old driver also suffered moderate injuries as a result of the collision.

After initial care on site, the two drivers were rescued by the rescue teams and referred to the Pronto Atendimento Unit (UPA) of Telêmaco Borba. No new information on the state of health of the drivers was released until the time of the registration of the occurrence.

Accident occurred during the early morning

The frontal collision on PR-160 was recorded in a stretch located at km 218+200, within the municipality of Telêmaco Borba. The incident mobilized care teams during the early hours of Sunday.

The road police carried out the collection of information at the accident site. The circumstances that caused the collision were not detailed in the released bulletin.

The case was registered as a traffic incident with victims by the 5th Company of the Road Police Battalion.
