Drivers, attention: Prefeitura de PG reverses street direction in Olarias

The Prefeitura de Ponta Grossa determined the reversal of the traffic direction of Medeiros Street in Albuquerque, in the Olarias region. The road, which already operated in one hand in the direction of Rua Maria Rita Perpétuo da Cruz, will now start to work in the opposite direction, towards the Olarias neighborhood.

The change was officialized by Municipal Decree no 26.927/2026, signed on September 16 and published in the Official Journal of the Municipality on Thursday (17). According to the decree, a unique sense of traffic is established in the Medeiros Street of Albuquerque “Sense Bairro Olarias”. The measure is based on the administrative protocol SEI no 093627/2025.

Sense will be reversed

In practice, the amendment represents a reversal of the hand of the road. Before, the drivers were driving down Albuquerque’s Medeiros Street towards Maria Rita Perpétuo da Cruz Street. With the new decree, the flow will be made in the opposite direction. The change requires attention from drivers who use the region daily, especially in the first days after the implementation of the new signage.
