Elections 2026: find out which documents are accepted to vote
Digital official documents with photo are accepted as identification

More than 158 million Brazilians will be able to vote on Sunday (4) in the first round of the General Elections. To do so, it is necessary to attend one of the 499 thousand electoral sections and present an official document with a photo.
They are accepted as identification document, including in digital format:
e-Title (as long as the voter's photo appears in the application)
Identity card
Social Identity
Passport
professional category portfolio recognized by law
Certificate of Reservist
Physical work wallet
National License (CNH).
The official documents with photo can be used even if they are expired, provided that they allow the identification of the voter.
Birth or marriage certificates are not valid as proof of identity when voting.
Is it possible to vote without the title of voter?
Oh, yes, yes. Official documents with photo, physical or digital, will be accepted for identification.
However, to vote presenting only the e-Title, available on iOS or Android platforms, it is necessary that the application contains the photo of the voter.
