Elections: Free candidate advertisements end this Thursday
Today is also the last day for debate sessions

The free election propaganda on radio and television for the first round of the 2026 elections ends on Thursday (1st). The insertions began to be broadcast on August 28 in reserved schedules on the broadcasters and also throughout the programming.
The Superior Electoral Court said that the closure of free advertising occurs along with other deadlines of the electoral campaign, such as the deadline for holding rallies and for the use of fixed sound equipment, from 8 a.m. to 24 p.m.
The deadline for holding debates on radio and TV also ends on Thursday. The debates may extend until 7 a.m. on Friday (2).
IA
The TSE also reported that as of today, until 24 hours after the end of the vote, publication and republication, even if free, and the paid promotion of new synthetic content produced or altered by artificial intelligence (AI) or equivalent technologies that use image, voice or manifestation of candidate, candidate or public person, are prohibited.
The rule applies even when the content is identified and meets the other requirements provided for in the electoral legislation.
Voting
The first round of the 2026 elections will be held on Sunday (4), when voters will elect president of the Republic, governors, senators, federal deputies, state deputies and district deputies.
To consult the polling place, voters can use the e-Title app, accessing the “Where to vote” option.
The app presents the information of the voting place, including address, zone and electoral section. The app can also show you the route to the location.
It is also possible to know the address on the TSE website, in the Election Self-Service – Net Title. Just go to the “Consultations” option and then “Where to vote”. The system requests the necessary data to present the electoral information.
2nd round
Only for the positions of President of the Republic and Governor there may be a second round. The re-voting occurs when no candidate gets more than half of the valid votes (excluding blank votes and null votes).
In the locations where there is a second round, the vote will be held on October 25. Free electoral propaganda on radio and television for this stage will be broadcast from October 9 to 23.
