Boy Struck in Ponta Grossa is 11 Years Old and Suffered Scrapes After Accident Between Bonifácio Vilela and Júlia Wanderley Streets
An 11-year-old boy was hit by a motorcycle at the Ponta Grossa Center on Tuesday afternoon. The accident happened at the intersection of Bonifácio Vilela and Júlia Wanderley streets.
According to information obtained at the scene, the child was running across Bonifácio Vilela Street when he was struck by the motorcycle.
The 21-year-old motorcyclist was driving down Rua Júlia Wanderley, towards the central region, when he hit the intersection.
The child suffered from abrasions
Despite the scare, the boy suffered only abrasions, mainly in the region of the elbow and arm. He was conscious after the accident and was referred to Unimed Hospital for medical evaluation.
The mother of the child accompanied the care and the trip to the hospital. According to information obtained at the site, she is a teacher at the private school where the boy studies.
Representatives of the educational institution also accompanied the child during the care.
Motorcyclist was not injured
The motorcyclist remained at the scene after the accident and suffered no injuries.
Transit agents were at the intersection to carry out the necessary procedures and organize the flow of vehicles during the attendance of the occurrence.
