Training in emergency situations
The basic knowledge of first aid can be used both in the professional environment and in common everyday situations. Falls, cuts, burns, choking, fainting, bleeding and cardiorespiratory arrests are among the episodes that may require a quick response from those close to the victim.
The proposal of FACOP is to provide participants with knowledge that allows a responsible and safe initial action, reducing risks until specialized care is performed.
In addition to first aid procedures, the training also aims to address aspects related to accident prevention, safety and the enhancement of life.
The first few minutes can be decisive.
The coordinator of the course, Marli de Almeida, points out that the training was planned to offer content in a practical and accessible way.
“Our proposal is to offer practical and accessible training, preparing participants to know how to act in situations of urgency and emergency, both in the work environment and in everyday life,” he explains.
According to Marli, the goal goes beyond teaching procedures for emergency situations.
“We want to work not only on first aid procedures, but also on the importance of prevention, safety and, above all, the value of life,” he says.
The coordinator also emphasizes that the response given in the first moments of an occurrence can have an important impact on the care of the victim.
“In an emergency situation, knowing how to act in the first few minutes can make all the difference,” he says.
